Regular savings

Build wealth steadily with a disciplined monthly plan, turning a manageable amount each month into a meaningful sum over time.

What it is

A regular savings plan invests a set amount each month into a diversified fund. The discipline of paying in regularly, combined with time and compounding, does the heavy lifting. Because you invest the same amount whatever the market is doing, you buy more units when prices are low and fewer when they are high, which smooths your average cost over time. This effect is known as euro-cost averaging.

Who it is for

  • People building a fund for a future goal, such as education, a home or a milestone
  • Anyone who can set aside a regular amount but not a large lump sum
  • Parents saving towards their children’s future
  • Those who want to build wealth alongside their pension

How it works

You choose a monthly amount, a risk level and a fund mix. Payments are collected automatically, and you can raise, lower or pause them as your circumstances change. The plan is reviewed periodically, and the real driver of a good outcome is staying invested for the long term. Starting early matters more than starting big, because small amounts compound over the years.

The tax

Regular savings plans held through life-assurance funds are taxed the same way as other fund investments: 38% exit tax on the gains, reduced from 41% in January 2026, with the eight-year deemed disposal rule applying to gains along the way.

What could I build up month by month?

Small amounts compound into meaningful sums given enough time, and this shows you how much of the result is your own money and how much is growth. Enter a monthly amount, the years you plan to save and a growth assumption. Try shortening the term and you will see why starting early matters more than starting big. Once you have a figure that feels sustainable, we will match the fund to your goal and keep the charges honest.
